Princess Lalla Salma | Morocco

An anon asked me why I never post about the Moroccan royals so I thought I’d reblog some of the lovely Lalla Salma.

Wedding of King Mohammed VI of Morocco and Salma Bennani. She was the first wife of a Moroccan ruler to get a title and thus been publicly acknowledged. Her title since the wedding: Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Salma. In 2003 she gave birth to Crown Prince Moulay Hassan and in 2007 to Princess Lalla Khadija.

Salma was born in 10 May 1978, Fes to al-Haj Abdel Hamid Bennani, a school teacher and Naima, née Bensouda, who died 1980. She attended following schools: Lycée Hassan II, Lycée Moulay Youssef, and l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique et d’Analyse de Systèmes and worked as computer engineer at ONA Group before meeting the King at a party in 1999.
